miss choi

Yesterday, who should I run into but Ramon: ex-star of Strange Brew; current king of MTV shorts, and; commercial model du jour.

I loved Ramon back when he was still playing Tuberong Ramon, the little lost Mermaid, Odette Khan’s adopted son, etc., on Tado’s defunct show. He wasn’t the star then, but he added a fun touch to the proceedings, especially in the “ay, nahulog ang sabon” scene.

Unfortunately, I lost my nerve yet again. I couldn’t ask for his autograph or picture, even if I stood for a full minute beside him in the elevator. Stupid me. Should have somehow forced him into giving me a memento of sorts.

Next time, maybe.

Finally made my way to Greenhills to purchase my regular dose of software. My MacLovin needs his fix. Actually, I haven’t been to Greenhills since I bought the Macbook. Surprisingly, almost every store in Shopsville had a sign that said, “MAC Software Available”. Must be the recent wave of Apple converts. Still pretty expensive are the installers, though, at 200pesos a DVD. I bought myself iWork, Office for Mac and The Sims 2.

Hope I finally find time to play.

I’m thinking about writing more, but the flu’s getting to me.

Sicky time is the best time to play games :). I played Sims 2, I get it somewhat but it takes plenty of time to play though :(. My niece could play it all day when she’s over. Hope you feel better soon. Lots of fluid and plenty of sleep… geez I’m beginning to sound like my mother.

How come you keep two separate blogs? This one seems a lot more fun :)

Next time you should think, “there is NO next time”- then you’re sure to make the move ;)

  3. baboyita Says:

sayang talaga di ko nakita si Ramon :(

may sakit ka??? nakapasok ka ba o pumunta ka lang ng Greenhills? :D
magpagaling para makapasok sa monday ;)

  4. miss choi Says:

@marman - thanks for the advice. i’ve been taking tons of meds lately

@blog2u - I have only one explanation for my 2 sites: “this is my rifle, this is my gun. this is for fighting, this is for fun.” Full Metal Jacket.

mm. i should revisit my strangebrew dvd’s some time.

  6. miss choi Says:

you have strangebrew dvds? where’d you get them? i waaaaaant.

  7. kairex3 Says:

i got them way back from this person from tipidpc by meeting up (mrt station). kakilala niya si ra rivera, yung director. he burned copies for anyone who want a copy of the show, only requesting payment for the initial cost of the media. and that you burn copies for other people who want it as well. i only have season 3 though. pero yan yung may odette khan episode. hehe.

quick googling reveals that this, http://www.geocities.com/Jazzler_B/Strange, is his site. there’s a link to his youtube page where all of season 3 is uploaded. there’s also a comment there from ra rivera saying that “wala pang kopya ang first 24 episodes(alien episode part ng season 1 and 2).” so season 3 lang talaga ang available.

so you have 3 options. you can watch/rip the episodes off youtube, you can ask me to burn them, or you can ask the dude who burned them for me to burn copies for you.

  9. Kat Says:

Iilang lang sa mga local artista ako natutulala when I see them in person. I run into Pen Medina often at Booksale and I can never muster up the courage to tell him I’m his son’s schoolmate and we were both Junior Police haha.

Nagulat talaga ako when I learned that Ramon Bautista teaches in UP. :D Way cool. :D

  10. miss choi Says:

@kairex3 - hey I know that site. I think I checked that out before but it took eons to load. maybe i’ll check youtube

@baboyita - oo nga. miss ko na sila

@kat - are you kidding me? you were classmates with ping?! naman. ka-lj/multiply ko din yung gf nya. huhuhu. sana naman makilala ko na rin sya di ba? tsaka gusto ko din makita si pen. san bang booksale yan?

  11. crabalockerkris Says:

Pangarap kong maging teacher si Ramon Bautista. Idol ko siya.

  12. Kat Says:

Ping’s two years younger than me, pero ayun, nagkakilala kami because of after school activities. :D Ka-LJ/Multiply/Facebook ko din siya haha. Booksale Farmer’s Plaza, pero sobrang random talaga yun ehehe.

  13. putik! Says:

  14. miss choi Says:
